eCosCentric announces eCosPro for Cortex-M3

BIRMINGHAM, UK -- October 2, 2008 -- eCosCentric Limited, the eCos and RedBoot experts today announced the availability of an architectural port of the eCosPro^® real-time operating system to the ARM Cortex™-M3 processor. The architecture port includes the pre-emptive multi-threading operating system as well as RedBoot bootstrap firmware, taking full advantage of the Thumb^®2 instruction set for greater code density and the nested vector interrupt controller.

eCosCentric will release eCosPro Developer's Kits in the coming weeks, initially available for the popular STMicroelectronics STM32 implementation, with full support for core peripherals, Thumb2 instruction set, on-chip flash and memory controllers. Integrated debug support is included with the Eclipse-based IDE for a choice of JTAG probes.
